My paintings explore the accumulation of experience and the traces that remain over time. Weathered plaster, torn walls, sediment ,architectural spaces and changing light inform my visual language.  In the recent work, whites, muted terracottas, blue -grays and violet tones replace the metallic pigments of earlier paintings.  The light is quieter now, emerging from within the surface rather than sitting upon it.

Forms often appear unexpectedly through the repeated layering.

The paintings speak t endurance, transformation and reconstruction. I am interested in the quiet that follows- the possibility of shelter and a place in which the self can simply be.
